Answer : The common event connecting the images is the theft of FIFA world cup trophy. It was stolen from Westminster Central Hall in 1966, for which a ransom of 15000 pounds (most of it was fake currency notes). However, the trophy was recovered only later with the help of a dog names 'Pickles'. This event was parodied as a sign of British disrespect for the trophy.

    Answer:
The Jules Rimet Trophy (Pic 1), awarded to the winner of the football World Cup, was stolen before the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England.
It was stolen from Westminster Central Hall (Pic 4) where the exhibition was kept.
The thief sent a ransom note that demanded £15,000 (Pic 2).
Joe Mears, the then Chairman of the Football Association, contacted the police, met Detective Inspector Charles Buggy (Pic 5) of the Flying Squad who managed to catch the thief but the trophy remained missing.
On 27 March David Corbett and his dog Pickles (Pic 3) were walking in the Beulah Hill district of South East London, when Pickles dicovered the trophy.

The thing common to all is the Jules Rimet Trophy but if you are looking for an event, its the FIFA world cup.
